Building practice is constantly evolving. To write about it is therefore much more than imparting one’s knowledge to paper; it is a process that is ongoing. Changing conditions, new findings, new experience in the field and better knowledge need to be communicated and evaluated. This website was established with this in mind as a platform for earth building knowledge to complement our book Earth Building Practice.
Earth-building-practice.com will be updated at irregular intervals with new developments and examples of the practical application of earth building materials, for example:
- Research and groundwork relevant to earth building practice,
- New developments in legislation and norms,
- New products and processing methods,
- Findings from damages surveying and expert assessments,
- Examples of earth building projects,
- New or changing conditions in the building market,
- Further working times and building costs.
The German version of our book Lehmbau-Praxis has met with considerable success and has already been reprinted. We hope that the English version will be similarly well received. Through our active involvement and ongoing work in the field we are able to extend and supplement the knowledge contained within to provide additional information for architects, engineers and tradesmen in the field. We look forward to sharing developments with you.
